Genesis 1:9-10
King James Version
9 And God said,
Let the waters under the heaven
be gathered together unto one place,
and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth;
and the gathering together of the waters
called he Seas:
and God saw that it was good.
This is a hard teaching.
For many will refuse to acknowledge it.
And yet, GOD makes it plain.
How He created man:
Genesis 2:7
King James Version
7 And the Lord God formed man
of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.
Psalm 139:15
King James Version
15 My substance was not hid from thee,
when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought
in the lowest parts of the earth.
How He grew every tree:
Genesis 1:11-13
King James Version
11 And God said,
Let the earth bring forth grass,
the herb yielding seed,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind,
whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass,
and herb yielding seed after his kind,
and the tree yielding fruit,
whose seed was in itself, after his kind:
and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning
were the third day.
Genesis 2:9
King James Version
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God
to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
How He formed beast, and fowl:
Genesis 2:19
King James Version
19 And out of the ground the Lord God
formed every beast of the field,
and every fowl of the air;
and brought them unto Adam
to see what he would call them:
and whatsoever Adam called every living creature,
that was the name thereof.
Man, grass, herb, tree, beast, and fowl were all created by GOD "out of the ground".
No wonder we all go back to it.
After Adam's fall, GOD declared this:
Genesis 3:19
King James Version
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken:
for dust thou art,
and unto dust shalt thou return.
King Solomon acknowledges the same:
Ecclesiastes 3:20
King James Version
20 All go unto one place;
all are of the dust,
and all turn to dust again.
Ecclesiastes 12:7
King James Version
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
No wonder, GOD declares:
Isaiah 45:9
King James Version
9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth.
Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it,
What makest thou?
or thy work, He hath no hands?
Now, when you hear, "from the ground up", there's truth to it.
But not in the way man defines it.
Think upon the Rapture:
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
King James Version
16 For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven
with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I know, it's very humbling.
To realize GOD created us from "dust of the ground".
It's a good way of being "grounded".
That we may be of the SPIRIT.
A paradox, but that's the way GOD wants it.
We need to humble ourselves before Him.
In GOD is PERFECT WISDOM.
We need to praise Him.
For His love, and mercy.
And here's how we can.
